Unless a joke, pocketpair showed off trading cards and figures around the 2nd week after launch so we know that's coming...not sure about anime, but they do have an anime short in youtube

It leads me to believe they wanted to have merch at the ready if the game ended up being successful because that's a very quick turnaround time if they had a professional make their merch

Well in game, you check which monsters you've caught by consulting the Pal "Deck." So some form of collectible cards existing isn't far-fetched.

they probably shouldn't put too much into trading cards. they even have to compete with disney for that market these days.

I don't think they have enough pals to launch a successful TCG, but I could see a tabletop game based around drafting or drawing pals out of a shared deck being fun and selling.

Didnt pokemon base set had like around only 100 cards? Palworld has 136 "pals" plus all the other items, should be more than enough.

Pretty sure it was less than 100 pokemon because they released jungle and fossil expansions after the base set

I think they should sell plushies too.

Food grade silicone interior with a cute plushie outside that can be wrapped around a rare roast or sashimi tartar so we can consume the bloody innards of our PALs.

They dont even have personal to maintain the game atm, as stated by themselvs, their game is already in decline, they have no money incoming to maintain servers for long as also coming from themself. Servers cost them min. 500.000 Dollar a Month. So they dont will have money to produce merch, a card game maybe but that market is so hard to get in they will not likely to be big in it since other far bigger franchises even struggle.
