use the breeding pen instead. that or roam around to get eggs to incubate. and if you haven't already, buy the gun at fisherman's port.
And don't worry about using a lot of spheres. When the stack size is 9999, it's probably assumed that quantity beats quality here. So long as you spam another sphere once it breaks out, you pretty much have it stun locked. If you were meant to capture everything with only one, there would hardly be a challenge.
This was fixed.
Frankly, both the pink and red sphere phase sucks while solo and it is a waiting game for your pals to make the material unless you happen to have 1000% work speed, and even then you are going to want to grab a level 4 kindling pal as soon as you possibly can.
If there's a chance to use my free spheres I'm doing it.
@OP: Try to focus on some dungeons, there's a lot of 30+ Pals that appear in those at lower levels that you can catch easier there (or at least some that appear as alphas as well will appear in those).
Build your 2nd base with the goal of mass producing ingots. (i.e. with plenty of ores)
More or less intended to be like that. The output of spheres dictate your progress. Which, at mid-game, is mostly dictated by the output of ingots.
Ways to increase capture rate:
- Using a better sphere.
- Collecting Lifmunk Effigy.
- Changing Pal's status (freezing, burning, electrocuting...)
- Throwing sphere from behind.
- Lowering Pal's HP.
- Playing at a lower difficulty.
That was fixed in a recent patch.
