Question regarding captured pals.
I'm basically at the start of the game, but I've acquired 3 types of poke... pals (sheep, chicken and cat), 10 of each. My question is, if I would kill of the unused pals or get rid of them (can I ger rid of them without killing them off?) will the game system still acknowledge that I've captured 30 pals? And is there any repercussions of killing/getting rid of your pals?

u can kill them, letting them go from party. or better, condense same type pals to power up a single one, which is especially handy for the 3 pals u mentioned to make them produce eggs + wool more often, and the cat gives more weight bonus depending on their stars. i think the condenser is unlocked around level 14 but not sure.

the 10 catch xp bonus will be remembered whether u let them go or not.

The game will still remember how many pals youve captured. And the only repercussion to killing your pals is that you obviously wont have that pal anymore. That's all.

Good to know, thank you.

Feel free to get rid of any Pals you don't want either with the cleaver for drops or sell them to a Pal Merchant for gold. Your catches count when they happen, there are no downside to getting rid of unwanted Pals. If later you want to do things like breeding you can always catch a new lambball or whatever you need.

You keep EXP and materials you got for catching the Pal, no matter what you do with them, and the tutorial quest doesn't pop back up if you get rid of pals.

Achievements count the different types of Pals, not the total number.

No repercussions, you are kinda expected to get rid of one or another Pal over time ...

As to how to get rid of them, you have a few options:
- Drop the Pal somewhere (why would you?)
- Sell it to the Pal Merchant (or Black Marketeer)
- Butcher it for materials (needs the Butchers Knife)
- Use it to enhance other Pals of the same type, with the Pal Condenser

Pal XP bonus works on Capturing, Breeding, or buying Pals.

As for having too much pals, you can drop them like items, but the bigger benefit is either:

butchering them-capturing a pal gives the same rewards as KO-ing them in a fight, so Butchering is x2 the rewards since they drop their loot there too (good idea for bosses if grinding for specific loot).

or condencing them-can take duplicated pals, and fuse them into a single pal, the higher the lvl, the more pals required. Ups not only base stats, but also increases their skill lvl (a Cattiva star rank 1 will give +80 carrying capacity, while a 0 rank cattavia will give +40 for example)

Also, you might want to keep certain Pal dupes because of specific traits for breeding, like a Pal with Swift, to help breed a mount Pal you could boost movement speed for.

And Passive pals like Cattavias +Carrying capacity stacks, so having 5 cattavias in your party will boost your carrying capacity +200 (40*5)

Oh, I did not know that Cativas can boost carrying capacity. That's actually pretty handy!
