This NEEDS to change: Pals getting sick
So every time I log into my friend's game on a dedicated server, all our pals are sick and starving, even when the food bins are full. That is 45 pals across 3 bases, all requiring High Grade Medical Supplies, every single real world day.

We have to farm 225 ingots, 225 horns and 90 bones.
Every-
single-
day!

Not to mention that as soon as I log in, a raid occurs 50 to 80% of the time, and I have no choice but to defend the base myself with all defenders at 1 HP. If I was not lvl 50 with lvl 50 pals and endgame gear, I would struggle greatly.

This has to change. This MUST change. Reduce the cost of High Grade Medical Supplies, or change how sickness and starvation works....

Change the word False to True

That will keep your Pals active while you are not online (They will continue to eat, work, and sleep)

Also, if the server owner reboots the server, it's important to visit each base to make that area of the map active, otherwise all your Palls will just chill at the pal box frozen.

To help mitigate sickness, improve the pals beds and food for higher SAN(Salad is the best benefit to cost ratio, and gives a nice work buff). Make sure the food containers are not too far from where they are working. These things will minimize how often your pals wander and how far. Improving their efficiency and reducing odds of getting stuck.

Since doing these things I almost never have to give meds to my pals.

Lower the hunger slider in world settings and keep more food stocked or just lower pal hunger slider down to 0.

Just put them away when you log off until they fix the AI so they can be on persistent servers without dying and getting injured.

its also worth mentioning: be sure that if your going away for extended periods, give them something more then red berries and a straw bed. alot of the sick and depressed stuff is from them getting hungry and or low sanity. red berries give the least amount of satiety and give no san recovery. same with straw beds giving the least amount of san recovery during sleep.

try putting baked berries in your feeder instead of red berries: slightly more satiety, and slight san recovery upon eating, as opposed to no san recovery from uncooked.

also, cloth pal beds will give massive san recovery during sleep. combine this with a few hot springs and you should in theory come back to less weakened pals upon return.

of course this all is dependent on your pals having clear paths to said feeders and beds with no obstructions in the way to get stuck on.

We feed our pals hundreds of Pizza from 2 feeders in the middle of our bases. No restrictions in movement and out of doors. Whenever we check, around 12 hours offline time, there was about 100 Pizza in all of the feeders from the 200 or 300 we usually leave in there per cycle. There should be much less so we assumed it all rotted away. We also have more beds than we do pals and about half a dozen hot springs in each base.
Our issue is that our pals don't use them when we are offline, and do so only when we are on. The dedicated server we have is persistent. Time keeps running, but the pals do nothing....

Aside from the above: You can buy medicine from the merchant in the small village at the south end of the map, which is reasonably affordable if you're chest/dungeon grinding fairly regularly and using the spheres to capture weak stuff to sell.

You can also just murder black marketeers for a five-figure gold drop each.

It does such, but it's manageable if you don't want to put your pals away overnight.

Better quality beds, especially for the large pals, helps a bunch, also make sure if you have a monitoring stand it's not set to overwork them.

Since I upgraded my beds, food and springs I haven't had any sick pals ever, but I don't work them very hard neither

This is literally a problem specific to dedicated servers. Your pals will not eat/sleep while you are offline. If you don't change "bExistPlayerAfterLogout=False" to True, the problem will not go away.

When you logout, logout in the base you want them not to get sick.

So if you just do all in one base you never have sick/depressed/hungry palls.

Just messaged the server owner this solution. Thanks much.
