If they are level 26 they are def past the 2 hours
The warning was right there the whole time.
You had to click away from the very prompt encouraging you to play single player or coop.
So very true, unfortunately many players don't read such texts and just click the button to start playing. It really pays to actually read those texts though.
Also pretty much every multiplayer game with official servers has problems with hackers on them to some extent. So with a small indie company releasing a game in early access and frankly not equipped to handle anywhere near this many players you can expect the official servers to be terrible just as they warned about in the text.
I do hope they'll get it fixed in the future though as this does hurt the game in the long run. Many players don't like to play these kinds of games solo and if not playable on official servers some of them will turn their backs on the game completely. Ofcourse there will also be others who will continue to play on unofficial password protected serrvers and as the game ARK has proven that way it can still be quite successful, however it will not reach full potential that way.
If you play on public servers, it means you're prepared for severe griefing and dealing with hackers.
