Tip I Want to Share on Build Heights
Prob just get buried in other threads and maybe it’s already well know BUT for those who don’t know, let me share a discovery we made while creating a stupid tall tower in our starting base:

1. Electricity does not have a vertical area limit(or we haven’t found it yet). Ie, one generator on ground floor is powering everything placed above it.

2. Other minor discover I suspect just oversight and won’t be around for ever: appears to be no height limit on builds, nor limit upwards for what determines as your base(and thus your pool of resources). We built waaaaaay past the blue line going upwards(like best guess when I stopped cause causing server lag, had tower up to at least half way up large white mountain to north) and could still draw from our base resources. 24 hours past too and nothing on top of main structure was deleted by building rot, just a balcony that went past the horizontal limits of our base.

Anyways, thought kinda neat so share in sea of cesspool troll threads. TLDR: generators can power things above them regardless of height, and appears be no real build height limit in bases yet other than sky box, ie past that big ol’ mountain to the north.

Generators can always power your entire base, so that's not unexpected.

As for building height: That is probably an oversight, I'm pretty certain that the "stability" rules which trace the (shortest) distance to the next foundation shouldn't just apply horizontally but vertically as well.

For now, well done to figure out that there is no entity limit to bases (yet), so you can waste as much server resources as you like. Especially when it's physics enabled entities such as walls and alike...

Let's Game It Out already showed it.
And the stability is only horizontally.

yes he also identified that there is a height limit

Yeah. Not sure if it was because of a stability limit or some other limit.

always triple/quadruple stack your walls to make sure small and big pals can move arround your base without problems. i always build the base with triple stacks, but if you wanna use alpha Jomurgandr or Relaxasaurus Lux inside buildings you need 4 walls high for them to fit inside the building.

(that's why i wish there was an option or a technology that let us shrink pals when inside the base, so i don't need to make my buildings gigantic)
