About Butchering...

Has anyone else been able to get drops from it since the patch? I was butchering deer for food and it dropped nothing, it just died.

its a bug that butcher somtimes doesnt drop stuff (rarely)

Yeah, I just butchered my first Pal, an Alpha, and got nothing. I came here to see if it was a bug.

averaged around for people it seems like it happens around 3-5% of the time. so annoying but not catastrophic

It's probably clipping through the floor. I butchered an alpha Menasting and didn't get anything, but I saw its body clip through the floor, so its drops probably did too.
Butcher pals on an elevated platform, like a roof, and try it again. It worked for my Alpha Suzakus.

I did some testing, the items are not even spawning..

I just butchered a batch of freshly incubated pals and they dropped loot as usual.

When i butchered suzaku and blazamut, i thought i was getting nothing too. Turns out the materials fly high into the air and takes a second to come down. Make sure youre doing it in a large flat area so it doesnt fall off a cliff.

So apparently this only happens when im on a multiplayer server.. on my single player save it works fine

Butchering is supposed to drop items?
I thought it's just for getting rid of Pals you dont want.

What items are you supposed to get, the same as with capture/kill before?
Because if so, I will just stay with selling them, since its way faster.

lack of nutrients you butcher un healthy pals it already one month server down no player on that world that why all pals don't have anything to eat

Butcher on a raised platform cause many pals have a bug where it might sink into the ground.

LOL butchering is pointless.
I have butchered about 30 pals. It took quite a while to go through them. Some dropped nothing whilst others gave either 1 berry, 1 leather, 1 egg. Its much faster to just goto a buyer and sell them off, the coin you get is probably more than buying what they drop anyways and its much much much faster and quicker since you can sell on mass port to and back in less time than it would take to butcher 1

You say its worthless but butchering alpha pals gives a 2nd roll for legendary schematics and more ancient parts
