Question about IVs

I am using a calculator to find out the hidden stat values of my pals, but the stats seems to be somewhere between 29-30 which of the two would be correct? Is it the one it is closer to statwise, or does above 29 always mean it's 30?

At low lvl's it is difficult to determine exact IV's, by lvl 50 you can easily determine it's exact IV's. Around 20's you can reasonably pin it down.

I do believe both ATTK and DEF cap at 30% while HP can go up to 50% .

But it is a rabbit hole trying to cramp max IV into 1 pal cus you also have passive skills to consider and you only have 30% chance to have a Pal inherit both parent best IV . It was hell....

I think people are getting me wrong. The creature I am referring to is level 29, so it isn't too low. It has 2797 hp, but the calculator only offers 2796 if it had 29 or 2812 if it had 30. The same inaccuracies also apply to all of its other stats. My assumptions are that it is at 30 due to the stat not having increased after over 100 breeds, and I always check them when they are level 29

Oh, I see your point. The IV Calculators are not an exact science currently so round to nearest likely stat.

Given what you just stated it likely has a 29.

yeah breeding needs some kind of overhaul thats way worse then ark or pokemons breeding system lol
