are NOCT pals, better versions that also work through the night?

im curious i know that my pyrin noct was working the furnace at night when i had it, but i dont know if he was working day and night, but that would make him better than the pyrin which only worked at day.
hence my question, anyone know?

Ive noticed Dark element pals (who generally only appear at night) will work through the night. So if this holds true for the Noct versions, then yes.

amazin, then i prefer to get the noct versions ( there is some hidden pals , which u get through breeding )

Dark type pals, who still need a bed to be happy I should point out, don't sleep so they do work through the night and also during the day. So in many ways they're better than pals of similar base utility. So yes, Pyrin Noct is better than regular Pyrin. That said Jormintide Ignis, who needs to sleep at night, is better than most other fire Pals for base work due to having a higher kindling number.

I've noticed some nocturne pals lose sanity faster than those who sleep, manage that carefuly.

i understand, i meant more like frostallion 4 cold stat, vs frostallion noct 4 cold stat.

frostallion noct loses the ability to freeze things though, instead it has high gathering

my previous ore base (now semi-abandoned) is just full of tombats. I have 10 of them and 2 basic hot spring and they never went insane.

Noct pals are OP since they work 24/7 but you have to pay more attention to them since their sanity is constantly dropping and eventualy they will get angry or sick and you have to treat them. Diurnal pals work only at daylight and has a better sanity avarage since sleeping will restore it, also if you wanna make pals work harder it is better to do on diurnal pals and use food that improves sanity but you have to farm meat and some other ingredients they will produce alot more resources but if you don't wanna spend time with it and just chill but have a constant incoming of resources, the nocturnal are better. I use a mix of both, anubis to mine and handcraft, at least 1 nocturnal pall of each, 1 katress to haul over night or handcraft, 1 tomcat to mine, 1 blazehowl to log or kindling and 1 vanwyrm cryst to freeze the cooler 24/7 and then use other pals to mine/plant/water/electricity/etc...

Now that you mention it, I've seen my tombats take baths, a good way to keep those sanity levels up!

Yes they're better. I use blazehowl noct for smelting, and vanwyrm cryst(ice/dark) for keeping my foods fresh.

i have 4 hot springs. if they didnt get stuck sometimes, everything would be fine.

its honestly better to have a balance of normal and noct.. While noct do work during the night they also sleep during the day (they actually often sleep longer then thos with normal sleep times)

No they don't sleep at daytime, they only sleep at any time when their sanity reaches a certain treshold, can be daytime or at night there are no difference. You can see on its pal status "going to sleep due to frustation" or something like this, after they sleep and recover their sanity either they go imediatly to work or to eat or the take a bath to recover even more sanity.

There's a pal who farms cotton candy which gives some sanity, it could be a food source for dark pals if you have a bunch in a base.

I'm not sure if there are others but Lyleen Noct sleeps during the night making it kind of worthless except as the healer pal in my party. And weirdly both Incineram and Incineram Noct both stay up all night.
