Glider tier affect gliding pals?

Does the glider i have equipped eg. "mega Glider" effect the efficiency and/or speed of a gliding pal? I have a Galeclaw and it glides incredibly fast and efficiently and i love it, however i'm wondering if i upgrade the glider i have equipped will this translate to a lower stamina cost and faster speeds when gliding with Galeclaw? or does Galeclaw just make my glider regardless of the tier Useless? also i've seen that speed boosted glider pals dont translate their speed boost traits when using them for gliding since "they're technically not an active pal" i was wondering if i had another pall out while i was gliding for example i have a lamball out while i was gliding with lamballs speed boosts apply to me gliding with galeclaw? thanks in advance for any help!!!
