I tried putting out 15 of my strongest pals to help in a nearby legendary fight, and a bunch of them lost a TON of sanity and many died.
I was a little sad they won't be able to work for a while but at least I don't have to cook a bunch of pizza or whatever.
Maybe I need several teams so I can change them out when this happens.
But pals also regain SAN by sleeping on better beds (the fluffy pal bed you can unlock later and the big bed is the final version of it)
And Pals regain SAN if they rest in a hot spring, or the better version of it (building about 7 or so gives my base barely any SAN issues, you have to build more than just 1 as only 1 pal can use it at a time, and there can be way more pals taking a break than 1 at a time)
SAN also recovers in the box, but I dont know how effective that is as I've seen some pals I caught be at 34 SAN and way later they are at 100
See it as them having a vacation... In a prison...
Before I used better foods I had a rotation of pals for certain jobs, like when the generator jolthog got upset I just put him away for an identical jolthog, etc.
