Pal Pathing
Any tips to make the pathing to jobs easier so they won't stutter on stairs or floors?

Make sure to build 2 walls high if using stairs.
Dont have anything under the stairs.
Make sure to not build your work stations to close together.
That worked for me, for the most part, given it is still cranky at times^^

If you can, use an open floor plan. Keep stuff as level as you can. Fill in any holes your pals might get stuck on. Avoid placing the pal box anywhere that will place an obstruction inside the blue circle that could trap a pal. Like don't build where the circle over hangs a cliff. Some have had luck with multiple floors, but I'm sticking to a max of two for now.

There are some tricks to save room. You can actually build beds where they can't reach them and they will still sleep just fine on the ground or wherever.

Do learn what side the pals access a work station from and keep it clear enough that they can reach it.

I found you can't put anything too close to the ranch, as it will be impossible to assign a pal to it, seems to try and use the ranch instead.

Some items drop on the ground, like the ranch. So have a storage box or feed box nearby to speed up the pals collecting stuff.

I'm using an outside setup where I've separated everything by element/job.

North
-Mining/Logging (Two stones or two woods, I wait until I have around 5k of either, then destroy and switch).
-Two chests for stone, wood, bone, horns, fiber, whool and other such things.

North East
- Mill, Crusher
- Two chest for produce, seeds an Paldium

East
-Home, with repair bench, statue, incubators, stuff that pals won't have to access.
-Beds and spa on the roof, chests for whatever I want to keep (essence, souls, eggs, blueprints, etc...)

North West
-Cooking pot, furnace, advanced furnace
-Chest for ingots, coal

West
-Assembly lines
-Shared chest with North West for cement, nails, etc...

South
-Ranch (rarely used, I just replace all the pals by, say melpaca when I need whool and go explore for an hour)
-Planned breeding facilities

Center, near North East
-Farming (berries and weat at this point, I strive on jelly buns)
-Feeder

Then I specialize my pals, looking for those who have only ONE perk that correspond to my needs. So right now:

6 miners
2 kindlings lvl4 (can spread out with more cooking pots and lesser level kindlings)
2 waterlings lvl 3
2 growers+harvesters any level
1 electric
The rest is polivalent but must not be mining, logging, or have anything to do with a continuous activity. Usually I use them for manufacture/logistics

This way they all go to their own corner, rarely bump into each other or get stuck.
And since my statue is inside they don't get stuck on the top of it.

In some cases you can't do anything about it I think. I have a Verdash walking into a farm right next to it's entrance for the past 15 mins (the farm is on flat ground, nothing near it). It's just stuck, doesn't move one bit. I swear I saw pals resetting their spawn when they walk into a wall but this one doesn't. I reset him twice now, he gets stuck in random places and starts starving. The other two Verdash are fine tho... edit: 5th reset now, still braindead. Gonna sell him now wtf
