Palworld updates force 18gb download and get stcuk at 1% install.

Every update forces me to uninstall and reinstall the game. Never gets beyond 1% installation and after the initial update(last one being 287mb) it sits at a stand still.

That's not the download. The download was 275MB. The 18GB was the files being patched, so related to your storage media speed, nothing more.

Update was only 275mb for me and took only a second or two. Sounds like it's either your drive or Steam. Verify files maybe?

It has nothing to do with the storage media speed when this is the only game on steam that has this issue and it's been an issue that's been reported for weeks. I'm having the same problem yet, I can update games like Conan Exiles just fine. This is on their end, not ours.

Just Steam being screwy with its patching system. I'd recommend trying to restart Steam, restart your PC, verifying files, the usual crap. Chances are pretty strong restarting Steam will give it the kick up the ass it needs.

It doesn't download the entire 18gb, check more carefully, The 18gb you are seeing is the game patching because that is the total size of the game.

Yea that doesn't work. It locked up my PC and caused me to have to restart it. It's not a steam issue..it's a Palworld issue.

early access man they will give you 99% first that 1% will be given latter on...... at new update it will be 100%

Is that why I just downloaded it and installed it with zero issues at all, with my PC which can barely run the game on low settings?

try clearing your download cache and clearing the data and relog in and then reverify the game then try the update or if already updated do the first 2

Sorry, correction Media Storage speed and Free Space. It's an Unreal Engine game, meaning it has to un-compress the game, patch it, then re-compress it.

If you're on a slow media, plus low space, you'll have issues on any unreal engine game.

Palworld has nothing to do with it, it's not even running. Steam is the program in operation reorganising files, which means the particulars of the program being patched really don't matter a great deal.

It's not my PC or Steam if there's people that have been having this same issue for WEEKS..literally weeks. You have no clue what you're talking about. Stop trying to throw in your 2 cents when you don't know what the actual issue is.

clear your cache before every download, settings>downloads. Steam is terrible compared to what it used to be.
