Night Time Cooling

So i thought the refrigerator would be my solution for night time cooling of fast spoiling ingredients like say milk and eggs, needed for cakes. But nope not the case, you still need a pal that does not sleep cooling the Fridge. I do not know of a cooling night time Pal i can use for this.
I don't like to always sleep the nights off because its a great time to get night time tames, but i lose so much food stuffs during the night.

Anyone got a solution ?

2 chickens, 2 cows, 1 bee is enough to keep up with cake production without needing a fridge at all. Even if you do go the fridge route, pals do not place items in the fridge so it wouldnt function anyway.

It didn't spoil and it wasn't a Pal. It was YOU.... lol

You made CAKE. And when you make food I've noticed the game takes food out of the Pal food boxes first if it is in there. So apparently we literally use the Pal's food as ingredients when we cook.

Just reset the timer at night when fridge pal go to sleep. Take them all out and replace them into fridge you will see the timer (normal) reset and that's long enough for whole night and day which by then fridge pal will go back to work and make the timer (fridge timer) longer.

Use vanwyrm cryst, make sure to assign him to the fridge and he should cool it for as long as he can, furthermore you can try breeding workaholic into one and all that, thank me later.

Vanwyrm cryst seems to be nocturnal, the only problem is that along with the cooling ability comes the transporting. I am just assigning the pal to the fridge/cooler so it hopefully doesn't start transporting things. Hope this helps!

I love that thing if it wasn't for the fact he keeps getting stuck in random parts of my base house. defeating the entire reason for him being there. Frostallion cools during day, he takes over when he's sleeping. but he's always glitching through a ceiling or wall, it's so annoying.

i seem to have the opposite problem... i have way to much food in my place that my food in the fridge is decaying before i can even get to it while its constantly being cooled in the fridge...

However can someone explain to me why we have things that require Pal energy and Electricity?? Like Why would i need a pal to cool the fridge when i should just be smart and hook it up to electricity... Why does the giant heater and cooler require a pal to heat and cool it WHILE its still using energy?!

You have to just produce more stuff and accept the loss. Have two cows. Milk degrades fast. Have the fridge close to the ranches and dedicated transporters like helzephyr or something.

I still like my way better. Make the honey and flour in advance. Balance out the production of eggs and milk and then just cook up cake as soon as you can make at least 2. It doesn't spoil when cooking. Have several cooking pots so you never have too many milk and eggs just lying around. Then just throw the cake in the breeding pen storage. No spoilage there either.

Forget all about the stupid fridge, it doesn't work worth a darn and you don't need it. Just a waste of a pal in your base. Maybe they will fix it in some future patch. When they do, I'll start using it. Like when they make an electric fridge that only uses electricity.

Use a fridge or don't (it can only help) but still over produce. I can always make dozens of cakes, even when they run out of pizza or salad and inevitably end up storing milk or eggs in the feeding box instead of the fridge, consuming those until I replace their pizza. The fridge isn't that relevant. If you can't have more than 15 pals then maybe rotate out the beegarde for two cows every now and again. Or 15 would be fine with one breeding pen. If you're trying to breed 8 pals and only have 7 workers then yes you can't make enough cake.

I figured out it's way better to just replace chickens and cows with mining pals instead now that you have access to large ore pit, ore production is consistent and has more functional uses, you can craft nails or other ingots to bulk sell to NPC, use the money to buy eggs and milks and ammo.
