Night Time Cooling
So i thought the refrigerator would be my solution for night time cooling of fast spoiling ingredients like say milk and eggs, needed for cakes. But nope not the case, you still need a pal that does not sleep cooling the Fridge. I do not know of a cooling night time Pal i can use for this.
I don't like to always sleep the nights off because its a great time to get night time tames, but i lose so much food stuffs during the night.

Anyone got a solution ?

Cook up cakes immediately when you have enough of the ingredients. They do not spoil in the cooking pot. Transfer the cakes directly to the breeding farm. They do not spoil there. Forget about using the fridge, I'd even go so far as to say, dismantle it. Otherwise some pal might put something in it.

Yeah i do that, still annoying i have to keep such a close eye on things if i want to actually play at night. Thanks for the reply.

u dont need to worry about night time cooling because the timer only counts down till 1 item of the entire stack spoils. the point is that during the day, and while being cooled, it greatly reduces the time before that 1 quantity of that stack gets reduced by 1.

The fridge should be fine during the night as night time seems to go by rather quickly. But I use a Jolthog Cryst to keep mine cold.

I have my days and nights set to the longest times.

I had hoped that the bigger fridge would run on electricity and not require a pal anymore, no such luck. I do not see the need for the bigger fridge at all (the extra space does not really help)

Same here, and she happily sits there virtually all day, doesn't seem to lose any sanity at all.
Best part is I put the fridge close enough to the feed box that, when she gets hungry, she literally just turns and eats, then turns and gets right back to work. Doesn't have to move an inch. Easily one of my star workers. :tunicheart:

Gonna hove to go capture a bunch of those and breed em, i was using Swee for cooling but they will wander and i think do farming/harvesting.

Has anyone put a base in any of the snow regions to see if that would effect the fridge

You can control to a degree what goes into a fridge.

Simply split stacks for what you want to be put in there and fill every slot with those stacks.

As an example, I have a cooler specifically for milk and eggs.
So I did the split stacks and now transporters omly dump milk amd eggs in that fridge.

You can do the same thing with Feed Boxes to prevent them transporting food you want as ingredients into it.

If you want material storage for specific materials, you can do it with wooden boxes too.

yeah the cotton candy filling every feeding box slot except the first works great. then stash the cotton candy in a regular chest. i tried it with honey before and it either spoiled even though it has no timer, or some pal decided to just remove it all and put it in the freezer after 2 hours

Sad pals will eat honey and cotton candy. So it does not spoil but it is consumed if left in a feed box. Reminds me i need to go get more Beegardes.

I don't think night lasts long enough for them to spoil, unless you have extended cycles through world settings. I'm up to like 700 milk in my cooler box. I just used a pal that ONLY has freezing, so the second he wakes up he either eats or gets right back on the cooler.

Yeah i have extended day and night settings. Prefer the longer sessions.
