Animals didn't exist before pokemon, it's a proven fact!

Azurobe’s model is practically identical to Serperior with Primarina’s hair without the beads. Two different pieces of ripped off designs in one. But it’s just mere coincidence and happenstance apparently

its not identical, its the exact same shape but the polygons are different.

this means they most likely built the model themselves using the previous models as templates.

still not illegal though, since it cant be directly proven that it wasnt coincidence. and since the models aren't the actual models ripped from the game, they cant put a copyright case.

all of this discussion is moot though, as ive heard palworld devs have already run the entire gaem through some kind of official system that's supposed to detect copyright infringement based on japanese law and it passed.

The Steam awards speak for themselves and prove the topic of this discussion to be correct. I had only positive Steam awards until I mentioned the positive Steam award. The negative Steam award only came after I mentioned that I had only positive Steam awards and even then I only got 1 negative Steam award. If people disagreed with this discussion then there would be more negative Steam awards. I want to thank everyone for agreeing with the topic of this discussion, TOGETHER WE CAN PUT AN END TO PALWORLD!

Is lucario not just an imitation of a jackal with a colour scheme?
imitating an animal isn't illegal! imitating a Pokemon is illegal!

You do not have a good understanding of copyright law lol and Nintendo does not need your help. Legally you can rip off concepts and game mechanics.

God this is so lame. I cannot believe amateur Nintendo lawyers exist. Please stop.

If anyone actually read the topic of this discussion then they would know that I am right, my positive Steam awards prove this fact

I'm one of those pokefreaks who harassed Nintendo until they made a formal announcement about investigating a game they don't care about.

Cool story.

I think they ripped off the ball shaking 3 times. Throwing a ball. Making a fire in your base. Building a structure. Farming crops for food. Animals having 4 legs and a head. Bows & Arrows. They didn't invent Bows & Arrows. They had to have seen that somewhere and ripped the idea off.

Oh yeah, my first ten years were before pokemon, and long walks in the forest were boring as hell. Eerily quiet, deathly still, even the wind seemed defeated back then. Couldn't take a hike or bike ride without being painfully aware of the futility of existence, and emptyness of the world at large.

Then Satoshi Tajiri vomited his imagination all over the world. I'm still on the fence about whether it's an improvement.

Only one thing can put an end to Palworld, and that's a cease and desist order that's never coming. The concept of a grass roots toppling of a popular video game is pretty much entirely mythical. The amount of momentum against Hogwarts Legacy was much greater than this and it barely made a dent in that game's success.

i will say it again, but if it was not for all this controversy this "game" created no one would even care about this...."game", just like there other game craft topia, an unfinished thing from years ago wich is pretty much the exact same as pal world, but unlike craft topia pal world gets looked at because of again, the controversy it created, because otherwise this would be as dead as craft topia

You can't copyright general design ideas, and you can't copyright art styles. Gamefreak and Nintendo haven't even copyrighted a majority of pokemon they've made.

Not to mention if you go this route lets retroactively sue pokemon for the stuff they stole from other games early on, eh?
Morgan 7/fev./2024 às 15:38
In my opinion I think that a cease and desist order is coming very soon!
