Rain, thunderstorms, blizzards and sandstorms
A different dungeon layout
Metal ore and coal farms
Smarter raids
Why? because it is annoying af when they get stuck and you always have to put them back in the pal box and take them back out again.
More blocks / shapes for base-building, and the ability to clip into existing terrain.
Larger base sizes. More bases per person.
Automatic work-orders for things like food and production so I don't need to constantly ferry materials hither and thither.
Better temperature regulation, or the ability to set temperature when installing heaters / coolers.
"Electric" buildings shouldn't ALSO need pals to cool / kindle. That should be the perk for investing in electricity.
The ability to "reset" Pals without sending them back to the palbox...either by picking them up (anytime, not just when the game feels like) or by whacking them with the stun baton as an A.I. reset.
A morale system by which you can "set an example" for the rest of your Pals, which causes a temporary buff to work-speed, and a debuff to morale.
Basically, you can store 99 of that pal in that pocket, but only one at a time
This should help people who hunt a certain pal, are breeding a single pal and get offspring that dont have the stats that they want and for using the escense tube since you are required to have 112 pals of the same type to get a pal to 4 stars (boxes are 6 by 5 ergo 30 per box so you need nearly 4 boxes full of a single pal, now imagine going for god forbid two pals? yeah rip your box space)
2. A way to choose "snap" "half-snap" and "no snap" mode while building, "snap" is like always when you build walls or foundations onto others, "half-snap" is you still snap to the foundation but you can control the height, which this would allow you to build up and down slopes (you can already do so, but it is hella tedious lining the foundation up) and "no snap" is just like the barricade walls pretty much
3. A way to make your own waypoints (and for servers/multiplayer "guild waypoints"). I've noticed that there are a lot of places that you can repeatedly go to, but the normal waypoints are quite far away from those (like going for the two legi's in the desert)
You can technically already place your own waypoints (and respawn points) by just not planting down a 3rd base and using that for this, so why not add an actual building for this?
4. Another thing, support pillars, technically you can already build an 'support pillar' by slapping down an foundation and just building walls around it but err, would be cool if you had an actual support pillar to place down (make it stackable so if your building is 2 walls high you dont have to awkwardly shorten it)
5. A way to more easily farm tech points (the easiest way is breeding either Shadowbeak or the lyleen as they both have a 10% chance for tech point books +2)
Maybe even make it a building at max-level, you could just sacrifice pals for 1 tech point each (the last 5 levels take a long time to get, would be a nice reward building)
6. A way to lock chests from pals only. No Pengullet, this stone doesnt belong in my weapon chest, could you please put it in the, way more closeby, stone chest? Yes I know you can just build your chest room with a door and close the door, but thats annoying to handle and if you play with others, yeah have fun with that
7. A way to unlock more than 3 bases. Could be a level 50 building like "build this expensive tower into your base to make it self-sufficient so you can build a new base! (only works once per base)". And then limit the amount of those you can build via world settings (from 1 to 15 if you want).
I know in multiplayer you can have way more bases when you arent in the same guild and just play together, but I rather have a mechanic for this
8. A better way to increase the efficiency of pals working. There is the command stand where you can tell them to do harsh or brutal work, but both of those modes drain your pal's sanity and hunger WAY more than the benefit you gain (you get like an 30% increase in speed on brutal while sanity goes down 1% PER SECOND, meanwhile on normal sanity takes a good 10 seconds or more to drop by 1%)
Just let me for example increase the workload on certain things like "I want fire pals to work harder" instead of the entire base, maybe let me choose the % of how much should be increased (for example, to get 1% extra workspeed I need 2% from hunger or sanity detoriation, so if I want I can triple the rate of hunger going down for double the workspeed, instead of how it is now getting sanity nuked to oblivion)
9. A way to increase the catch-rate even further. Its kinda pay to have something called "legendary sphere" with +10 shrine catch level and have a.. 15% chance to capture something at level 45 or higher if the pal is at barely 1 or 2% HP (yes this isnt with any status effects, but status effects often get the pal killed in my experience)
Maybe more shrine levels? A higher tier pal sphere at level 50? Maybe even a sphere that can catch anything at 100%? (maybe give the strongest boss a dropable item which you can make a ball with that item and that will be the 100% catchrate ball)
10. Some more buildings like:
Ladders.
Trapdoors (aka doors for ladder ways). Crouch-doors (if you want).
outwards corner and inwards corner roofs (I'm annoyed at leaving those parts open when building houses).
Spiralling stairway (a one-foundation big stairway, currently you need one foundation for the stairs, and two for the lower level and the higher level and for more levels you have to build a 2x3 wide part to make a real staircase, with this you only need a 1x1 space)
choosing door-skins (having a wood/stone/metal wall but having a different door, like a wood door on a metal wall)
Ramps (longer stairs but meant for not building them onto a house
And just some options for the world settings like:
- Free build (no more "cant build here" or "too little support"
- Dropchance (1 would be normal, 10 would be 100% for any drop)
- Sanity degration rate (we got hunger, why not that too)
- Raid frequency (not just on/off, what if you want to have raids 24/7 because, uh, because yes! if you have them on 10 then you will get a raid 30 seconds after a raid has been dealt with, so once you defeat a raid, 30 seconds and the next one comes!)
- Wandering Merchant Base Visit chance (I have seen this happen ONCE in 120 hours. O N C E. I found more wandering merchants randomly spawning in the world... just make it 1 for normal and up to 10, 10 for permanent)
- Day/night only (yeah you can make day/night last a lot longer, but you can only skip the night while you cant skip through the day, and getting night-locked pals can be rather annoying and I know they can spawn in caves too in that area, but its still not great)
- Wanted on/off (dunno why you ever want to be Wanted by the police but it would be fun roleplaying the bad guys in a sense)
- Angry Pals (you dont like that pals are friendly or non-aggressive? Not anymore, now every pal will aggro if you get to close or it sees you! guess the Free Pal Aliance messed up!)
- Guns blazing (infinite ammo, why? wouldnt you want to machine gun a rocket launcher for at least once?)
- Pal Ability recharge rate (1 would be normal, 10 would be "never runs out" or "instant refresh")
-level up-scaling on/off (youre level 20 and your area only has level 5 lamballs? How about they were your level? Bet thats.. not any more scary at all but it could! Mostly for fighting bosses in dungeons or the field bosses tbh. to make them still boss-fights later on instead of being push overs if you dont want that)
had fun, hope you had fun reading too
I want to show off the silliness that is Heavy Weapons Grizzbolt
A free-cam photo-mode would be awesome!
@OP, Forgot to mention -- a procedurally generated map.
1. Ability to turn certain key items on and off from inventory, like the collars and the lantern. Once you get the lantern you can never go back to darkness, even if you want it for scenics.
2. Improvements to cooling. It should store a buffer of cold instead of becoming an oven as soon as the pal goes to eat or sleep (no nocturnal pals with freeze exist yet). Right now you need to sort it every morning, and the sort bug will be eventually fixed.
3. Ability to forbid pals from putting stuff in certain containers.
4. Blueprints for uncommon/rare/etc "side arms" like the fire/poison bow and crossbow, musket and makeshift gun. (obviously the regular handgun is better, but coarse ammo is easier to farm)
5. A couple more dungeon layouts.
6. Some form of equipment, like a scanner, that allows seeing what passives a wild pal has in advance.
7. Some base item (like the silo or flower bed) that raises breeding speeds (significantly).
8. Ability for pals to take out and store stuff from cooking/smelting places. Specially food.
9. Pal passives that raise their stamina/HP.
10. Elemental firearms instead of just bow/crossbow. Maybe electric/ice can be added too?
11. Very minor, but a bit more merchant variety. I wouldn't mind being able to trade goods to buy ore/coal/sulfur or pal fluid, like you can with farm produce and ammo.
12. More active skills, for variety and challenge when fighting bosses.
13. A couple more pal storage boxes. This would be alleviated by suggestion 6, but right now it gets tight.
14. Ability to use the "4" orders menu so you can stop your daedream from sniping some poor thing you want to catch while riding a mount.
Also now that I think about it, would kinda make sense for gene manipulation when you consider one of the factions in the world. Like an upgraded condenser with both reduced costs for upgrading pals to help with the grind but also maybe even trolling the passives and such.
