Farming Tower
has anyone tried to build a tower of multiple floors and fill each floor with stuff like farms? like a skeleton structure that has the bare minimum to build upwards and everything else is farms. or does the pal ai not like that idea rn

I guess you could try and see if it works...

It works, I do multiple floors. I suggest making the floors more than one story tall though.

I have 3 story tower, bottom part for mining, 1st floor for manufacturing and storage, 2nd floor for onsen and beds, 3rd floor for breeding, ranch, farm and my character private room, ai still do farming, breeding and producing milk and wool, they however refuse to cook food at the 3rd floor, so I put cooking stuff on bottom floor along with the ores.

Oh and Suzaku ai broke I think, that bird just wonder around not, smelting or baking cake, change back to Wixen and those fox do their job just fine.

Mine seem to have trouble with the concept of stairs, and a lot of structures refuse to be built on foundations?

4 story castle. 2 stairs wide for each section, 3 walls tall for each floor, pals navigate it just fine.

Either way it's kinda pointless since the amount of farms 20 Pals can handle is WAY lower.
2 Floors of farms is to much already. I need 9 Pals to manage just half a floor full of farms and those Pals are STACKED workers.

Pal pathfinding doesn't play well with multi-storey structures currently. But yes, fundamentally it would work, you could compensate for building in a cramped area by building upwards instead of outwards.
If you gonna build a tower, I recommend three high walls between levels and though I haven't tried it I recommend putting the Palbox on the 4th floor (because the Palbox radius was 15 tiles in every other direction, I assume down is the same) for maximizing usable space.

Claim height is 250 tiles up. you can safely place it on the ground level.

I've seen the same blue circle when building up, I can test it a little more but I'm fairly certain that the base radius doesn't go that high.

I have a 7-story building, and it's generally functional. On two floors, I have large beds and "bathtubs" for my pets. Another two floors are dedicated to various types of fields, including the mill. One entire floor is allocated for woodwork, stonework, smelting, cooking, and a farm. There's an additional floor with all the level 2 assembly lines. The 6th floor primarily serves as my bedroom and contains some other items. The 7th floor is currently empty. However, my only issue is that my pal station is located outside the building. Consequently, anything the size of a mammoth pal seems to get stuck when trying to enter the building, even though I can ride them into the building, which is quite peculiar.

I built a base under one of those huge rock formations that jut diagonally up in the air and part of my blue circle goes across the very top of it. I absolutely know that it goes that high.

The base radius circle only goes 15 tiles high but the Base's effect is still functioning even at over 100 tiles above the Palbox (furthest I tested).
