The headgear sucks really bad for durability. It needs some adjusting. Later stuff won't break as much, but early stuff in particular is just not good. I know it can stop critical on your head but idk how useful that really is compared to just tanking it with your shield.

I'm level 37 still rocking a bowlers cap. Not even sure if it has any defense on it, but it's the first to break all the time. I'm hoping refined metal helm will have more durability.

nah. metal helm is making little difference. plasma tornado grazes my heel once or twice and the warning comes back. just an empty slot now

Refined Metal lasts pretty well, and Pal-Metal helms almost never break.

Unless you die. The death penalty in Palworld hits armor durability the hardest.

And once u get the better schematic, gear lasts quite longer. A purple metal helmet will Take a lot of beating
