Quick Tech Points Question

How many Tech Points do you get per level?

I thought it was 6 per level in Single Player.
My friends are getting 12 per level in Multiplayer.

However, there's no World Setting to change this amount.

How many do you get?

I've never paid close enough attention to it, but have wondered the same.

I'm not sure, but leveling isn't the only source of tech points. I have more than I need, but I don't unlock something unless I plan to use it.

I only ask because I was 191 Tech Points short at the end of the game; whereas my friends had enough points to finish the entire tree. Being able to play around with all the furnishings, silly pet saddles, and fancy grenades would have been a lot of fun but being so picky was very limiting.

You can get manuals from high-ranking chests and Pal drops that give you more Tech Points.

I did farm manuals for an hour in dungeons and sanctuaries but I finished all of the games content long before I could dream of manually farming 191 more. But in multiplayer this doesn't seem to be necessary? Are people getting 12 Tech Points per level in dedicated servers even though there's no World Setting that changes the amount?

You gain 6 Technology Points every time you level up and 1 every time you unlock a fast travel point. You get 5 Ancient Technology points for defeating a tower boss.
