Too Many Raids
My game is on the easiest setting in single player, but am getting a RAID a day/every 12 in-game hours...Its overwhelming. :steamsad:

You can turn them off in settings.

Nope, don't need to do that, don't want to get raided don't build near any roads. Go to the deserted areas.

Once I got around level 30 I turned em off. They get real nasty, on top of just being annoying when you're in the middle of something. I used to leave the area when they'd come, or leave game and come back. Then I realized why not just turn em off? It's not like the game is set in stone and balanced right now anyway, so it doesn't really feel like cheating when it's early access with terrible pacing.

It's way easier to just turn off the setting in the world options if you have the option.

Why move your base if you can just switch one setting instead?

Two bits of advice

Build in a spot which offers natural protection.
My main base is on a mountain with only one path in/out. I put down a gate and 6 defensive walls. almost every raid can be killed with a univolt using shockwave over and over.

Raids will only occur while you are at the base so do your farming/afk time elsewhere to cut down on raids.

And this is exactly the reason why i turned off the raids.
I always never got raided in my main base, even for hours...
But when i ported to second/third base to collect the resources, suddenly the raid happens.
And they destroyed my base not only once....

I have noticed that some areas will have raids and others raids will be almost non existant. Dunno if this is the case but certain areas, specially big flat areas might be more prone to raids some areas with less clear area for a base seems to not have them.

Thank you all so much for all your input :steamhappy:

bro, 100% unless you want to play death mode, deactivate raids.

mine are default settings, and they're so strong now (lategame), if i dont throw everything i have at them, they win lol.

play raid if you're really bored, or ready, but if you're not ready, switch it off, save yourself the pain

You can turn them off. But if you want to cheese through them, just build your base on areas with lots of natural barriers. There's one in the bottom left of the forgotten island. Great flat area with absolutely no way for raids to get there.

I built a base on the flat area next to the penking alpha room, and i never was raided again.

Now on my second playthrough i m being raided but i noticed for the ground foces u can just rush into them with an aoe pall and kill em all before they even get to your base as they just ignore you.

Adjustable raid timing/power settings would be fantastic and because they're taking cues on difficulty settings from ARK, we will probably get it in vanilla eventually. Till then I can't imagine a mod is far off.

Not sure the advice works anyway. I moved to a desert. I get raided all the time there. But I built up on a plateau. The raid party literally can never reach me and they just get stuck infinite running against a wall.

Which is the perfect scenario. Because I can farm the raid party whenever I want, or ignore them whenever I want. They don't fight back either. Say it's the Free Pal Alliance raid. Those guys can drop medium pal souls. I'm short on medium pal souls. So I can glide down and spear them all to death as they just sit there and take it like champs.

If I am chilling in my Base I get a Raid every 30m, and if I am gone a while and come back to base I get a raid in like 10m

Raids are easily cheesed. Build on top of a mountain where the entirety of your blue circle takes up the top of said mountain. They just run around at the base of the mountain, even the flying raids still can't reach you for most of the build spots I'm talking about, and they come with the added benefit of usually having lots of copper, coal, sulfur, or quartz too.
