that said, it would be neat to have gender line variances like pokemon does. but thats a detail farther down the road to add later.
ever heard of gender fluidity? if it identifies itself as male it is!
might just be a drag queen
or an japanese geisha ( yep, used to be all male in medieval japan )
Sexual Dimorphism is cool and all but I do like male lovanders as they are tbh
They could still be pink there are different shades of all colors. They needn't be blue or orange they could be a deep pink or something. Maybe brighter or darker shades then the female etc.
Mozzarina adresses it in to the paldeck directly lol
This is a species, right? I mean, ask yourself which would be creepier: A monster that breeds normally but has an "infatuation" with other species' males, or a monster that ONLY breeds with other species' males?
I'd be all for the color idea for dimorphism, but they would have to apply it to basically every pal, not just Lovander. That would be a lot of work, so it's probably not going to happen until way down the line, if at all.
It would be interesting though! Espically if they went past colors but had simple physical changes, like more spines on the female or males had longer wing tips, etc
Well I don't because I was looking for females to breed and assumed they are all females because they look like females.
(There was that one pokemon literally called Mr. Mime that could be female, though.)
