anything you've caught,the pal dex will tell you what they drop. its pretty useful for that. like Hoocrates drops tech manuals for tech points. i thought this was a error by the devs setting up the paldeck but lo and behold they drop em.

soooo many dead owls for so few tech points in the end lol.

otherwise, i just go boss and alpha farming to get valuable drops to sell and buy it in bulk from a merchant. same for leather. and pretty much any non ranchable material i want.

What it doesn't tell you is drop rate though. Those tech manuals have a 1% chance to drop from Hoocrates, much better getting them from unlocking fast travels and dungeon chests.
