How to hatch frozen eggs?
Hi everybody!
I'm playing on a server with some friends. I try to hatch a huge frozen egg with an incubator and a cooler, so it's finished faster. And yes, I'm using an ice pal too to make the cooler work. But nothing changes with the incubation time of the egg.

On the other side, when I'm hatching an egg what needs heat, I'm using a heater and a fire pal to make the heater work, it actually works. This one is inside a building.

In the beginning I had the frozen egg inside a building too, but I moved it outside to check if this was my mistake. But nothing changed. Do I miss something? Can you help me please?

Greetings

Because all the eggs need the same process to hatch, the size and type only determine the pal inside. Just keep a nice campfire by the incubator and it'll all work out.

Just build a temporary base in a cold climate if you're hatching a bunch of frozen eggs, it's easier than messing around trying to manage the heat in your base. I don't know exactly what the temperature breakpoints are, but I don't think you can get cold enough for max incubation speed in one of the "normal" biomes.

No. There are differen sizes / rarities with different times to hatch. I've seen 18 hrs, 24 hrs, 48 hrs and 72 hrs. As rarer / bigger the egg gets, as longer it needs. Scorched eggs need heat to take less time and frozen eggs need cold to take less time to hatch.

This was also an idea I had. But I need another upgrade to be able to build a 3rd base. Then I can try this out. But thank you for the information. Have fun! ; )

If you are in a hot climate, the cooling from a cooler can't do enough to actually speed up the hatching. You might notice that it speeds up during the night, but for practicality either build an ice base or just accept that the timer will be longer
