Stuck Base Pals
Any advice on dealing with base Pals getting stuck glitching out on the edge of your base?
Keep running into that issue, even at bases with everything on the same level that shouldn't need to travel near the edge at all. Hunger in particular becomes a problem for Pals that get stuck like that.
Even building a food basket right on the spot doesn't help. I'll find them twitching against the side of it slowly going crazy from hunger.
Other tasks they'll stop in place for eventually, and they'll head for a bed at night, but then come right back to it in the morning. Sometimes I can lift/throw them and break them out, other times I can't interact and have to use the Palbox to unplug them and plug them back in.
Seems like a pathing issue, but unclear on the cause or why only a few seem affected at a time.

The routing of Pals is an actual issue as the devs stated. The last update brought some progress, but there is more work to do ^.^

You can manually unstuck them by putting them into your pal box and putting them back into your base.

Generally it is a good idea to built your base with enough clearance between the structures. The bigger the Pal the larger the clearance.

It is also a good idea to place specific base structures near to the Pals that need the structure. This speeds up your production / the process and reduces the risk of stucking.

Some objects for stucking, like trees and ores, should be mined by specific Pals to avoid stucking.

That is exactly what if was afraid to see here, based on how this "devs" handled their previous, pretty much similar project, craftopia. They will try to fix it for some time, adding more bugs in the process than they trying to fix and eventualy they will give up and drop it, like they done it with craftopia.

try moving your palbox, so the blue circle doesn't include bad terrain. move any buildings you've built out of the way of pals pathing, should be ok-ish till they do a pathing patch.

I just take them out of the palbox team and then add them again. It'll happen every day or two. Usually the same two or three suspects.

Generally I find big and flying pals are most likely to getting stuck (big AND flying pals are the worst)... so I avoid using too many of them in my bases.

Leaving sufficient space around any work stations will help prevent them getting stuck. Don't stick your ranch too close to blue border or a wall, pals can and will try to enter/exit there and then they will get stuck.

Since they fixed the issue with farm on 2nd level stopping pals from pathing below, do build upwards so you have a lot of space. Make each floor 2-wall high.

Some terrain + AI + pal combination are just problematic. I have an ore/coal base on a cliff surrounded by stone defensive walls. I used 4 dumuds there, and after a while they all went and phased out of the walls and stuck outside. I removed a section, they came back inside, I put a wall back, they phased out again. Had to replace them with Anubis and other watering pals.

Have that problem only very rarely after the last update, while before it was all the time.
Also two of my bases are on a giant flat plane now, that helps a lot.

I have a completely flat base and run into this less frequently, but it can still happen when a pal has nothing to do. It's like, for some reason, they wander around and get stuck the moment they wander into the edge of the circle. Suzaku has been the biggest offender of getting stuck on just about everything; even wandered on top of a lamp post (wtf?).

Sounds like you're seeing about the same thing I am.
No buildings in the way, clear travel lines to where they need to go, crates and food near by, and all small Pals involved, but then they go off to the edge and lose their brains. Also have had a couple of them end up on top of things, cattiva and tanzo on top of logging trees and creami on my roof.
Just strange.
