How do I use more than 1 pal?

Hello, I'm not quite understanding the mechanism behind spawning pals. Right now I have 2 pals in my base, and 4 pals in my inventory.

The first pal I spawned in my base sort of follows me around, also when I leave the base - can I somehow assign it to stay back home when I leave? A

My next question is:
How do I spawn more than two pals? The first two, I think I just "rotated the que" with 1 and 3 to pick an in-active pal, but when I try to use 'E' to throw it, - it de-spawns my second creature, and then the new one spawns instead. So, how do I get to have multiple pals?

Put them in your palbox.

You can spawn multiple pals at your base using the pal box.
Sadly only one pal from your inventory can follow you.
(Unless you count the ones like daedream, which I don't)

You don't. There are three (that I'm aware of) that have a necklace you can craft after unlocking (requires the Pal be caught to be seen in the menu). Two attack, one picks up items. But they don't attack like they would fully on your team, they have one move and have limited range compared to regular battles.

But you can stack your party full of them and have 5 Pals "around". Just not out fully.

To assign stuff to your base you need to put it in your Palbox. For more space complete the upgrade requirements. You can see it show up when standing near it, or check the menu screen at the Palbox as well (also where you go to upgrade it).
