Vanwyrm to Ragnahawk

I have nimble, runner and swift on a vanwyrm. I want to get it onto a ragnahawk. Seems like the only way is get a frostallion to breed it with. Is there anything else I can do as I can't get the frostallion? I've only been able to get it close to half health.

You'll have to do it in two steps. You can breed the Vanwyrm with something else and then breed the offspring to make the bird.

I think I used [Grintale + Pyrin Noct] when I bred my Ragnahawk. And it just so happens that you could use [Vanwyrm + Pyrin] breed a Grintale.

You can catch both species of Pyrin in volcano during the day and the night if you don't happen to have some already.

The only other options are Frostallion Noct, which is redundant, and Jetragon, which also likely means catching Frostallion lmao.

You can try Vanwyrm + Penking = Incineram
Then Incineram + Helzephyr = Ragnahawk
Or any other combination that's once removed.

However breeding RNG is sorta cursed so this process would likely be painful. Your Vanwyrm is already about as fast as Ragnahawk is at default rn so you may just want to stick with it until you can get Jetragon.

The other flying mount of choice at this stage, Beakon, doesn't seem like it can be born directly from a Vanwyrm at all.

Alternatively you could breed Fenglope. A Vanwyrm and a Killamari, Flopie, Swee, or Ribunny will make one. They're not flying mounts, but they have a high double jump, high base speed, and can launch themselves quite a distance off ramps with their horn attack. I haven't used one myself, but I hear they're great for these reasons. They also gain more movespeed on condensation too where Vanwyrm, Beakon, and Ragnahawk do not. It doesn't give any added damage like the other three do, but for getting around the islands it might just do the trick.

I already have a ragnahawk with no speed buffs and I have a fenglope. I'll have to see if I have a helzephyr but I don't think so

Thanks the Faleris is nice. Do you know if condensing it will make it a better flyer?
