it's basically an rx 580 but worst because your cpu supports pcie 3.0 only.
edit: nay you can even get an rx 7800xt lol, it's just really silly to buy an APU for that price range
OP just needs to replace that gpu as it can only run at x8 lane instead of the usual x16. just get a rx 5700xt off aliexpress for cheap and check you have enough psu headroom for it.
edit: my bad it's not even x8, it's an x4 omg
if pcie 4,0 its rx 580-ish in performance - medium 50 to 70fps-ish - remove 25fps if pcie 3.0.
edit: ryzen 3 4100 is pcie 3.0 only. uh oh. this is why you dont buy a 6500 XT
It depends, it will solve his "problem" in a short time but it won't solve if he wanna play another new game that requires more power, also he might need to change his power supply. My suggestion is in a long term to solve this situation, but it is totally up to him to upgrade or not since he only asked if it runs and it runs but... noooot like that in a nice performance, he can buy test and if doesn't work just refund the game. =)
Also deppending where a person lives it might be cheap or "cost/benefit" to buy something that is expensive than something cheaper because the dollar price, minimum wage, etc.
one thing to note though is that am5 will still be very expensive in the near future, and i'm just guessing that OP probably prefers short term value over long term value.
PCI-E 3.0 is got plenty of bandwith for many graphic cards at the same time. It wont offer Rebar but that wont be a big problem. But you can still connect 12GPU's on a motherboard like that with windows.
Depending on the quality of the am4 motherboard it could be suggested to swap out the the quad core for an AMD 5000 series x3d processor. But is that motherboard is as cheap as the rest of the hardware it might not be a good idea.
You could link the entire hardware setup, but if you are going to need too many parts replaced then consider starting over if you want to game it out.
Right now your CPU and GPU is an ok match and you should not stick to replacing 1 component since it will bottleneck anything faster.
normally desktop gpu cards support x16 lanes that's why pcie 3.0 or 4.0, it doesn't matter much. however, with x4 lane, that's a whole another story.
Ah i thought you meant PCI-E 3.0 was slow my bad.
