I genuinely don't know if moves actually stab if the pal using the move is same type, i don't think they actually do though.

No, but there are pal traits which enhance the firepower of certain element attacks. Or traits that deal more damage to certain pal types, no matter the attack's element. Amongst many others.

Aren't elemental attacks basically what you're asking about? Not sure about "moves", but each attack has its element (even "normal" counts as one), so fire is highly effective against grass type Pals, ice is effective against fire type and so on. That's the closest I can see to bonuses as my Ragnahawk does quite a lot damage against the grass type, compared to attacking some other type of Pals (quite ineffective against fire types).

yes it has and different from pokemon you can add any type of skill to any pal but none of them will get the bonus type damage it is +20% bonus
