Can you choose which sphere you will throw?
In addition to the regular pal spheres I can craft, I have found about a dozen mega spheres, and 2 or three giga spheres. I accidentally wasted a mega sphere on a low level pal, and I wondered, if you have all three spheres in your inventory, can you pick which one you will throw, and save the better spheres for bigger pals?:lunar2020thinkingtiger::lunar2019deadpanpig::monstertrainaww::slimetabby::steamdeadpan:

If keeping track of which sphere you have equipped is too difficult, you can scroll the mouse wheel while aiming a sphere to change which one you use.

Careful when using mousewheel to change when mounted, it might lock you halfway in aiming so that even if you release the RMB/Aim button clicking LMB/Fire will still throw balls. To get out of this when it happens just hold RMB/Aim again for a moment. Briefly annoying but some have gotten stuck like that without knowing what to do.

You can cycle through your pal spheres by hitting 2, I found this out by hitting it instead of 3 to cycle my pals.

Thanks for the info. I wish there was a way to practice this because it might take some getting use to, but in the heat of battle, I know I will mess this up for awhile.:lunar2019grinningpig:

By the way, how much difference do the different spheres make? Are the Giga spheres almost guaranteed to take down the big boys, and are mega spheres usually reliable with medium pals. I have had pretty good luck taking down some of the medium size pals if I soften them up 1st, but it would be nice to know the mega & giga spheres will make that a lot easier.

My mouse has like 8 or 10 buttons on it.. I have 1,2,3,4,5 and then e/f all mapped on my mouse for easy accessibility.

Honestly no reason to practice. Just take the highest level spheres you have and capture everything with them. Everything below a legendary sphere is super easy to make once you set up an iron farm. Legendary are easy as well it just takes forever to make palmetal.

I have now reached the point where I am crafting and using Legendary Spheres, so I no longer worry about it anymore, but in the early game those yellow & red spheres were precious.:lunar2019grinningpig:

If only the developers added any hint to the user! Oh, the tragedy! Any indication in the UI would be a godsend, if only our poor little eyes could see the glimpse of a clue, any inkling on how to change those spheres! Immense sadness! If only the command was literally right there in your dumdum face! Maybe someday, maybe...
