Mining while mounted doesn't work?

So I was excited to roll a Reptyro Cryst with Mine Foreman. So I jump on it thinking I'll go do some highly "efficient" mining, but you can't reach the nodes with the pickaxe while mounted. Am I doing something wrong besides putting time into an early access title?

Use the Pal's skills to mine (Attack) the nodes - looks a little odd but works.

it mean to mine with your pal mount it and attack the ore, it works well, i think digtoys still a better choice for that.

When you're out of your base area, just throw your Reptyro at the ore and will do for you all while you mine on foot. I get a ton and fill up my weight quickly. Wish you could store ore on Pals

mining foreman only does effects PLAYER mining, does not effect pals doing mining (even while mounted).
