Why would want play a third person game in VR? Doesn’t that defeat the entire point of its gimmick?

Someone is already working on a proper 6DOF, motion controls profile using UEVR, here's a sneak peak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5OYgdTQSWI One thing to keep in mind is that it seems the devs are themselves not interested in such a venture, but that could always change.
