Firing Pengullet's Rocket Launcher multiple times?

When I played offline, that kamikaze move seemed to reliably kill him every time, but when I played on a laggy dedicated server with friends, he keeps surviving with a little HP left.

Is that just a bug because multiplayer is really buggy, or is there some way to replicate that offline? Does star power make a difference?

Nevermind, found the answer after I posted this. Apparently star power is what makes the difference, the description just doesn't update to tell you that it no longer incapacitates him.

I wish I knew that before, since Pengullet just went up something like 15 tier ranks in my mind.

It depends on the stats of your Pengullet. It will eventually survive.
