Best way to mine ore? Are there mining locations for the base?
So far, my Rushoar is the best at cracking ore boulders, but his skill set is a little weak.

What skills should I try to teach him to increase his effectiveness, or should I be trying to combine boars to maximize this? Is there a preferred skill to use?

Also, does the base eventually get a way to mine ore? It's kind of annoying to have to run around searching for it. I currently use the Desolate Church to get mine, as there are a mass of ore nodes behind it, but would be nice to have a location you could work directly in the base.

EDIT: I've taken to ranking up my Rushoar, and taking Kingpaca and Broncherrys with me. This has me with a carry limit of 1000, so getting ore back in large amounts is a lot easier. I'll think about building a camp later; it's just me, so managing two feels like it could be difficult.

there's tons of pals that can mine ore the easiest one being tombat which you can find early on at night. Just find a nice location with tons of ore and set up your second base there
There is a ton of ore west of first boss and meets directly below the penking boss. just set up a pal mining base. but just so you know mining yourself is quicker. get the kinglama a couple times for weight limit up and use a univolt guy to get around.

Make sure you have a decent flying pal first. Then move your base to a spot with several ore chunks in one spot. Then, fill your base with at least 5 tomcats.

@Sacred Myths, I prefer the tortoise pal with it is accessory (that gives it more power) it mines ore faster (but want to eat all the time).

Raise Rushoar's star (pal condensation) and upgrade using souls on his attack (making mining per hit stronger = easier destroy ores)

As for ores I'd recommend set up a mining base - there's plenty spots around map if you explore around where you mind a congregation of ores (5+)

All you need to do is set up a base there (max palbox upgrade atm allow 3 bases iirc), and plant basics - palbox, beds, food basket, box, mining improvement, source of light (id recommend campfires so no need relit them), mining pals.

And you will start soon get lots of ores.

I will probably share my findings of congregations of ores later once i hit level 50 or when i fully unfog whole map.........

I made a post about this, but it seems to have vanished. Where do you get the tortoise pal from?
For early mining i recommend tombat, it works day and night. For Coal use Reptyro. For carrying the stuff either daedreams or Killamari (both don't sleep)

154, -392 is the best spot imo for an ore base. Small bridge is the only way in and out to deal with raids, and there is nonstop ore spawning there. :llama:

Check it here #67 (because I don't remember the names that pop up when we visit areas on map)

The mountain top near 190, 0 is pretty good too. Its got 5+ ore nodes and 3 coal nodes, so its great for general use. The only raid that can get there is the flying raid, which ive never seen in over 20 hours of having an ore base there.
Check out the guide section of the forum's there's already a good couple guides that show really nice base locations.
there is a ore + coal spawn at the south of the ice tower on top of a mountain, a lot of coal is needed in the late game as well, sulfur and quartz you can break two rocks and be done for a while

It's not listed there. >_<; I guess it's too early days for someone to have worked up an interactive map or properly complete wiki. Which is wild; Icarus had one going *way* faster, and was a lot less popular.
