win64-shipping error

So after a few of there little updates the game wont even install them and i have too delete the whole game and re-download it, but still don't work. just say disk write error
and when it does finally want to boot up i'm hit with...

couldn't start G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\palworld\pal\Binaries\win64\palworld-win64-shipping.exe'pal CreateProcess() returned 2.

funny was working fine 2 days ago
and all the rest of the time since day one..
all of my PC is updated with the latest drivers as well.
any one else having this issue

rog strix MB
Ryzen 7 5800x
32GB ram
GPU: GF RTX3080ti
installed on m.2
power 800w

likely caused by third party antivirus programs such as AVG or Avast, as i've seen in these threads that pop up in the past 2 days. better to stick with win defender

to be more specific palworld-win64-shipping.exe gets yeeted into quarantine, and then gets prevented to be re-downloaded, thus the disc write error occurs

I got avast,I'll turn it off n see if that helps strange that it only just happens now thou, after I been play the game since release with no troubles.

i think the issues started happening after the latest update or 2. where avast picks it up as false positive

if youre set on keeping this antivirus u need to find out how to restore the file and exclude it from detection, or else i would just remove avast completely. windows 10 defender does the job well enough, arguably better even

shot just allowed the exe through avast and it booted up normally, only reason for this too happen is dev team being slack with there updates.

Yuup... Avast One is what flagged this file... .Just had to "restore and add exception" for it and the game started working fine again.

Thank you for this thread. I've been playing since install and today is the first day that I got hit with that. I would never have thought to look at Avast, since it's been up and I've been playing for long enough it wasn't in my head. Restore and add exception worked perfectly for me too. I played it yesterday with no issue, so for it to ping up today was what made it weird.

if you're using avast ,go too protection/quarantine and restore and allow the exe

Eh that and Avast is a horrifying monstrosity. I miss the days when Avast as the good alternative and not Mcafee business 2.0

iv'e literally have had no problems with avast for the last 3 years, just have it in silent mode never even see it,so it was strange that it only just came up after 2 weeks of playing palworld.lol

I added the file as an exception to on AVG AntiVirus. Fixed the error for me.
