After this, you can just buy the materials that you need at the Small Settlement/Duneshelter/Fisherman's point. For leathers, I usually go to the Small Settlement.
I find this method WAY more satisfying then killing hundreds of Dumuds and Digtoises for High Grade Pal Oils (or the equivalent monsters for Leather, in this case).
Yeah, but 50k also gets you a few clips worth of ammo at the volcano village, and honestly, anything consumable that takes metal to craft is the better investment.
