How are yall gathering leather?
Ive gotten to level 34 and seems like I am needing a bit more leather to make stuff. Is farming pals the best way to get some leather inventory? Or is there a way to craft it?

Just wondering what some other people are doing to farm up a bit of leather.

Paldeck - Check each Pal - it shows what it drops. GL

I think you can buy it from some Merchants

I always killed random pals and never really had leather problems so i'm afraid i don't remember which i killed.

Fly around on Beakon really fast, land next to foxes or dogs or deer, AOE electrocute, repeat. Same for Pal fluids with water pals.

leather milk egg cloth wheat ammunition all buy from merchant
then go hunt bosses for money and sell to merc this way is faster than hunting ingredient (leather) mobs

I run dungeons mounted, univolt with shockwave/lightning strike is generally good enough to wipe out everything before the boss with minimal issues. Leather drops liberally from around 3/4 of the creatures that spawn in them, and if you run back and forth between rooms, the respawn.
you can buy it from the merchant in duneshelter, dont know about other merchants. other then him you have to kill/capture pals to get it, katress also makes neutral pals drop more loot

My base is near a bunch of direwolves and other leather dropping creatures so i occasionally just jump on my direwolf and crossbow to conserve ammo and run around one shotting creatures I cross

i just kill every pal i see and upgrade them level 4 .. you have to catch like 120 for each one, thousands of leather in few minutes
even in the starting location

If you're hunting lots of Alpha Pals and running plenty of dungeons, you'll end up hoarding many valuable materials (Gems, Furs, Guts, etc) that you can exchange for a lot of gold.

After this, you can just buy the materials that you need at the Small Settlement/Duneshelter/Fisherman's point. For leathers, I usually go to the Small Settlement.

I find this method WAY more satisfying then killing hundreds of Dumuds and Digtoises for High Grade Pal Oils (or the equivalent monsters for Leather, in this case).

Hunting with a katress is a good way to go, hunting rushoars, direholws, elkthydeer around the sea breeze archipelago church and the sealed realm of the swordmaster are good spawns, if your lazy take some of the flopsies with you to gather while you hunt.

Yeah, but 50k also gets you a few clips worth of ammo at the volcano village, and honestly, anything consumable that takes metal to craft is the better investment.

I haven't ran into this problem because I'm always hunting pals left and right.
