Giving this thread a bit of a "new life" with a question -- will I get banned if I edit my save game files and give this chicken a "Legend" trait? I mean, the server is "not really mine" so I can "quite" do whatever I want with it, right? Also, bwomp.

The chicken gods will forgive. Can't you breed a tower boss with a legend trait legendary to get a chikipi with legendary trait?

May the cluckening be not as severe on me than it should be on steam point farmers.

"Legitimately", the chances to get a desirable passive trait combination was considerably fast. Like 4, to 5 breeding attempts. (i.e matching one chicken with a good trait and then another chicken with a passive trait, to end up with a chicken with two of those traits. And so on, so forth). So... 25% chance'ish. That can (very likely) change on top-tier pals however.

Nah, you're just lucky. It took around 140 eggs with one matching passive and two desirables per parent to get my ideal roll for my mount. 60 eggs and counting into frostallion noct. I'd be very surprised if the odds of getting a perfect roll are higher than 5%.
