No eggs from breeding?

I am trying to breed my pals, yes i have the cake, but i do not get any eggs,
A male and a female is in the breeding place and the egg is beeing "made" at the end of it, no egg, and a new one is starting and cake disappearing,
Is this a glitch? a bug? anyone else have this, and a fix?

If you built the breeding area on not perfectly flat ground the eggs are probably spawning underground. Look for the sparkling lights and walk up to them, if you cant pick them up you will need to move your breeding spot

is it singleplayer ? did you try reloading the world ?

It's possible you placed your ranch in a weird position semi-underground and the egg that came out was a regular egg so it's inside the ground.

sounds like his breeding pen was placed on the ground, not foundations. The eggs are underground but still retrievable.

Had the same issue turns out they were underground. if you crouch walk around you might be able to get them. I had a good spot but a grenade destroyed it and it wouldn't allow me to place it back where it was. Building placement is something the team can work on in the future.

I had built mine on a slope and thought I wasn't producing any eggs, but once I read here that they just show up on the ground, I went back and sure enough I can see the sparkles. Couldn't get them though, so I jumped on my nightwing and was able to collect them
