... counterpoint: What's the fun in throwing 20 spheres at something that says "20% success" and still not getting it and that happening just about every second ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time the roll comes around?
And no thats not a case of "use better spheres" 20% is 20%. That's shoudl average out to every 5th bloody sphere and i am so fcking close to actually starting a spreadsheet, because i sure as fck resort to killing off half the cnts after wasting upwards of 10 spheres on them.
get a stun baton, shock it, then throw the sphere while its stunned. that 20% becomes 50%. your going to have alot more success with a 50/50 split then a 1/5 chance every time.
elemental grenades are a thing as well as stun batons and poison/fire arrows.
That wouldn't be so bad for like...actually powerful or rare pals. But I'm sure as hell not going to do some song and dance ritual to catch a beeguard. Let me bring it down to low health, chuck a giga sphere at it, and give it to me. It's literally not worth the hassle either way, but throwing a dozen gigas at it instead of doing that whole song and dance would be preferable any day. Though of course neither route should be observed at all. If I have a 25% chance, give it to me in no more than four damn balls!
My capture rates skyrocketed when I started using stun grenades.
Yeah farming them would make it WAYYY more viable. Hunting? No. That's a pain. It's a slog to try and find a bunch of electric enemies. I get what, one every 30ish seconds on average while actively running around? And 200 gold is not that cheap for a single grenade that'll stun a creature for not that long just so I can increase the chance of capture, but still not even guarantee it. Like I said, doing this song and dance for basic creatures is just dumb. Alphas? Luckies? Legendaries or whatever? Yeah, sure. But again, I have no desire to do this absurd little tune to capture a gobfish.
rarely i even fail 100% .. or it wont even start the catching process .. but i consider that as bug and dont actually care ..
catch setting to max, 2x
but thats why you have automated production and 20 000 balls in store :)
it gets easier later with legendary and some other gaming mechanics ..
legendary upgraded have 100% till like level 30 (if you are level 50) ..
i noticed aiming for head or sneak attack from back works better than hitting limbs or torso ..
Like come on dude , also it's one the only game i know that let you re customize and tweak game world options once your started a game withut the need of restarting a new one.
+ Like others said you just need to farm the game , bonuses + better balls and maybe others things , but like low hp + status effect now to be fair the "sneak behind" "capture behind" "surprise capturing" "fast capturing" doesn't seem to work for me but even without that it's fine and alrgely possible .
Could be interesting t ohave more balls variety like the pokemon games do tho .
It's not really worth catching basic Pals unless you're specifically grinding them for certain traits to breed with. I only go for the 10-cap bonus in lower level areas, as where I am now I can catch anything under lv15 without having to even attack them, and it makes the process a breeze.
If you want to farm some electric organs, the desert area to the north I think has nothing but electric types. They're high level, but a decent ground type will make short work of them, or even go at night and you might be able to one-shot them while they sleep.
Hmm, I've not really bought or sold anything in this game, but I've got over 100k. If you want more money I think Vix or another cute fluff ball generates coins at the ranch. You can also sell Pals and food and other items at merchants. The humans also drop cash, so make sure to check their bodies. You can alter the game settings to let you have 20 Pals at base to, meaning you can have up to 60 monsters just generating money at your bases.
I'll have to check how much the basic balls sell for, but it might be worth just selling the 800 basic starter balls you've shoved into various containers lol.
I've only managed to get this bonus when catching non-aggro'd pals.
So that's just 20 berries for an electric organ.
I know you'll have about 6000 berries just lying about.
