maybe you're supposed to fight them with a group of people but that doesnt make sense in singleplayer
The final boss was certainly a rough fight. I had to breed a Chillet with Legendary, Ferocious, Musclehead and Lucky, which took quite a while. I then Had to level it up to 50, capture 116 more chillet to max out its stars and then got all my souls for it. I also got my self the legendary assault rifle.
I think they need to tune the hp down a little bit since you legit have to be full on end game to clear it.
That's a cool challenge, sure. But it's not reasonable or even a demonstration that the game is easy or balanced properly. The expectation is really that we can send out our pals, let them fight till theyre low, swap, then that should be good enough. That's the expectation low level sets. But now I'm realizing I'm forced to upgrade my personal damage to an insane degree and cheese with only type advantages instead of using a proper team. My issue is just that if you play the game as intended and trust that the system is fair you won't be able to win.
That's on hard mode though - hard mode default settings are pretty extreme. Kind of to a dumb level, imo. 72 hours for huge eggs, 4x player damage taken etc. Even on normal you can be 1 shot in quite a few scenarios, 4x that is just silly
Are you saying that it isn't like that even on normal mode? The 4th tower boss I tried to use the handgun until about halfway where I used the assault rifle and I barely got it down in time even with a full level 50 team. I could have pumped out more personal damage but since most of the pal damage comes from ai it's hard to argue that it's some sort of skill issue on my part. I could have done the moves differently maybe - I heard people say using slow cooldown moves and swapping is the way to go which I didn't do as hard as I could have. I find it hard to believe all these people are beating the game even on normal mode without cheesing or super optimizing their team.
But ya, I've found this game is more fun the more time you taking between towers. That said, it needs more dungeons and the building needs to be more snappy. I also think the bases need to have a bit bigger boarders.
But all in all it has really good bones and as long as they keep updates going it should stay really healthy. With the success of the game I'd be shocked if they let it go the way of craftworld.
Cry us a River.
I went into Marcus and Faleris thinking it would be a breeze, having a couple of Jormuntides, kelpsea to boost their damage, can't really remember who else I took.
They got absolutely destroyed instantly.
So I just went ahead and focussed on catching legendaries first.
Went and caught Frostallion first because the terrain was more forgiving to evade his attacks.
Used Frostallion to catch Jetragon.
Used them both to capture the duo in the desert. Catching them also gave me an epic assault rifle schematic or atleast that's what I think, I did all of this back to back late at night so I'm not even sure when I got it.
Crafted a bunch of nails to sell to buy huge amounts of ammo.
Pumped all of my souls into Jetragon and Frostallion (I had to reset my pals to get my souls back, which cost about 200k coins)
Gave them Fire fruits for Marcus & Faleris, Dragon fruits for Victor & Shadowbeak.
The epic assault rifle gave me about 40-50 damage extra per hit over the normal assault rifle, I was honestly expecting it to do more, but just giving my pals those fruits proved to be enough with their stats boosted.
I don't regret picking the legendaries over endlessly breeding because at this point I was 90 hours into the game, having spent the last 30 hours or so crafting legendary spheres on a loop just to level up to 50 with the catch 10x mechanic.
I also just don't like the breeding aspect of the game, I've spent hundreds of hours doing that in Ark and it's just not something I'm willing to waste my time on any more.
