Constant "crunch" noise, every two seconds

Doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, every 2 seconds, I hear a loud "whoosh" or "crunch" noise. It sounds like feet hitting the dirt after a fall, or applying/removing leather armor, or possibly the flapping of wings. It isn't any of that, but that's what it sounds like. Turning off SFX fixes it, and it doesn't happen in new save files. But I'd rather be able to hear things and not abandon a file I've put 12 hours into if I don't have to. Help pls

Found the problem, in case anyone else runs into this. It was from having a Celeray in my party. The game thinks it's constantly flying around you, flapping its wings, even if it's on standby. Hope it gets fixed, but at least now I know.
