It's probably just a false flag, verify the games integrity and try playing the game again.

What anti-virus do you have? It's pretty much guaranteed to be a false positive. Steam themselves check things before they even end up on the store.

I'm honestly not trolling. I'm using Avast anti virus. Doing a clean install right now. perhaps I am stuck in the 90s with my antivirus software....no clue honestly.

Avast is malware in itself. Uninstall it from your pc and only use the antivirus your os provides or none at all.
