Any good water mounts
I made two saddles for two different ones and they both are slower than walking when in the water. And they can’t “sprint” in the water like birds can “sprint” in the air.

Are any of them at least not as slow as the noodle with ribbon, and the big Leviathan looking one?

And yes I know flying ones are better for flying over water, but still I want a good water mount for variety. But if they all suck 😔

Looks for pals with Swift and or Runner passives. they work for all "mounts"

edit - why wont you just use your flying mount? it move on top of water just fine.

Why would I choose a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mount with speed passives over a non ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mount with the same passives is a question you should’ve asked before your suggestion that didn’t answer my question.

I already said why. Reread the OP. Reading comprehension is amazing!

Nope, water mounts suck because you're supposed to move onto flying mounts, as they're all-terrain. Water mounts are meant to be mid-game, whereas high-level Flying mounts are endgame and cover land, sky, and sea.

Also, cursing at someone multiple times then insulting them for just trying to help doesn't exactly put you in the best light or make people eager to help you in the future. Next time, try something like "I appreciate the attempt to help, but this isn't the answer I was looking for. As I said, I don't want to use my flying mount on water."

The advantage of swimming mounts is that they do not consume stamina when swimming. Though flying mounts do this as well (I think they'll probably adjust the stats a bit somewhere down the line) they -are- a one-up over raw land mounts, as Land mounts (and you, mountless!) do consume stamina when swimming.

I will say that arguing Flying mounts is a late game thing kinda falls apart when your first flying mount is pre-level 15.

Edit: also worth noting there are two levels of water; Ankle deep water doesn't consume any stamina from anyone, and you don't start swimming in it. Deep water, however, swimming mounts go a little faster and only swimming and flying mounts can traverse them without consuming stamina.

Effieciency wise: Flying mounts are still better
But if you want a water one for aesthetics then:
Jurmuntide - Is decent but needs deep water to swim
Azurobe - Is decent
Sulfent - Is decent and quite fast.

Other than that I havent seen one better, I always jsut fly over it xD
never used a water mount but it sounds like they just suck

Palworld currently only has three swimming mounts: Surfent, Azurobe and Jormuntide. Out of the three Azurobe is the fastest swimmer, stat wise. You can further speed them up through breeding speedy passives. A fully sped up and sprinting Azurobe is faster on water than flying pals.

Be aware though that swimming pals drop to the ocean floor if you summon them in deep water. Which effectively makes you drown due to stamina depletion if you cannot reach the shores in time.

You get a flying mount before you get a water one lmao. If the birds in the starting zone were level 30 you’d have a point perhaps with chillet being what, level 11, but they’re easy to get early.

OP Seems a little aggressive but this is a good read, I personally don't think flight should be allowed until level 50 it trivializes the game massively. The game is massive and by using flight you skip A LOT of exploration.

🤷‍♂️I just specifically thought to myself “I just know someone will mention to just fly, the thing I’ve been doing 95% of the game, so better explain why I am asking.” And then the dude still did it lol, edited his comment to do it. And he wants to pretend I edited my comment instead of admit he didn’t read my post. No patience for tomfoolery.

I hope they at a minimum remove the ability to fly over water as birds without stamina use. And increase the movement speed and allow faster movement (sprinting) in water as well. Because as of now the water mounts are utterly worthless it seems and that makes me sad. I’m tired of flying over water it’s boring to fly everywhere so I’ve started to travel on ground more and would’ve liked to do the same with water but it’s just too damn slow.

to be fair, the advantage of water mounts is water based fights. Theres two water based bosses ive found so far and fighting them from the air seems to have alot of problems, at least thats what I ran into.

https://palworld.fandom.com/wiki/Rideable_Pals

There's the list of Pals with their base speeds.

As pointed out by everyone, you can get your Pal to have the movement boosting passives. This, unsurprisingly, allows them to move faster while you're riding them. The fastest swimming mounts are about as fast as the slowest flying mounts.
