You said it crashed twice in your original post... so if you refunded it after it crashed twice you refunded it sometime in the last 10 minutes... all the while you're still here asking for a solution to a game you no longer own / had no intention of keeping. OR you refunded it before asking for help and are ultimately wasting the time of everyone here who is trying to help you solve a problem you no longer have.
So here's your solution. Quit reaction farming.
- Bad installation: Needing to be reinstalled or files Verified.
- Potentially bad Storage drive
- Out of date Graphical Drivers.
- Out of date or pirated version of OS
- Potentially bad installment of mods or 3rd party clients trying to interact with the game.
- 5:40pm Bought the game
- 6:09pm Refund request recieved
- 6:42pm Refund request approved
I made this post over 20 minutes ago? You saying that I refunded the game less then 10 minutes ago is completely baseless, and frankly doesn't make sense. How does someone have a refund approved in less then 10 minutes?
I am not "asking for a solution to a game you no longer own", I am asking why my computer is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up after getting it refunded. Read the damn post.
When I made my first comment you edited it with your specs 10 minutes prior. That 10 minutes meant that you edited it 2 minutes after posting. Meaning you were seeking help 10 minutes before my first post (which was about 15 minutes ago right now).
You said you refunded it 3 minutes after the edit. So you didn't even give it 10 minutes to get help before refunding it and are STILL looking for people to help you despite no longer owning the game.
It's not a conspiracy theory it's what you're saying and your actions not lining up.
Ok here is some generic advice with assumption there is some computer issue.
1. Install malwarebytes and run a scan. Ust use the trial you get and your fine. Remove anything it finds. Uninstall it when your done, its a good tool but a resource hog.
2. Command prompt, run this command sfc /scannow , this fixes any corrupted Windows OS files
3. Check for updates, Windows, drivers, etc
4. Install ccleaner and clean up temporary files
5. Open up settings > add/remove programs. Uninstall anything that you dont recognize. bloatware at times makes it with legit installs.
This is one of the reasons Early Access exists; to make sure the game works on every possible hardware configuration people might have. Apparently you're one of the unlucky ones and it doesn't work for you right now. Though ♥♥♥♥, it happens. Game has been in EA for only about a week.
As someone who willingly took part in this game's early access phase the least you could do is send the devs a report of your situation so that they can fix it. If you do it might be sorted out in a few days since they're actually working on bug fixes all day everyday since release. Steam forums are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ factory and this game probably has the worst of it all. They're not wasting their time reading through 99% of troll threads to see if someone has a genuine concern or bug report.
NO need your profile says you played it .4 hours.. or about 25 minutes. The issue is most like your PC not the game.
No I don't care to do that... cause your full of sh*t.
You stated that you refunded it 5 minutes after the posting of this topic. You were still 'seeking help' in your response almost 15 minutes after the posting of this topic.
You had no intention of seeking help at any point. I'm not debating if you did or didn't own the game but don't come here pretending you are seeking assistance when it takes about 10 minutes for a steam refund to go through so for your refund to have hit 5 minutes after the posting of the topic you had to have refunded it atleast 5 minutes before asking for help.
Meaning that when you 'asked for help' you no longer owned the game. This entire topic only exists so you can make the claim that the game is malware... don't try and bullsh*t here. The timings don't add up.
Happens to me when i play it for several hours also, today i will kill the process instead of using the Exit button once i am done gaming that includes the Epic webhelper crap that is running with the game.
I am doing this because i opened task manager before i exited game yesterday and saw that Palworld was a running process along with the 5 epic webhelpers. And the game somehow mange to kill explorer.exe because it is early access.
That includes taks manager if it is not aleready opened because the OS will be non responsive and only let you navigate steam or opther applications that are already opened.
