Have your pal kill enough of them, don't hit them yourself or else you'll just make the problem worse, you can also quit to title and go back in to clear it. Or let them kill you that will clear it too. It won't get solved by just time passing.

Alternatively, if you're near a fast travel point just hit respawn (in the same menu as quit to title) or if your world doesn't drop items when you die just hit respawn.

personally i do wat scyris does, let my pal kill em. since it technically wasnt u, ur wanted level drops.
