First of all, I applaud Palworld for already being quite progressive in its character creation - instead of wrongly calling the 2 body types "male" and "female," they've opted to just call them "body types." Thumbs up! Great job! However, I think we could add a couple more options in for complete inclusivity. It's unfortunately pretty clear that style 1 is supposed to be a cisgender man, and that style 2 is supposed to be a cisgender woman.

I propose 3 new "styles" - Trans male, trans female, and non-binary. Of course, they wouldn't actually be called that, they'd just be called "style 3/4/5," respectively. Style 3 would be almost identical to style 1, but with some scars under the pectorals, indicative of top surgery. Style 4 would also look like style 1, but with boobs. Style 5 would look like something in-between.

I'm aware you can pretty much already make an "in-between" model by using the sliders on either of the existing styles, but you're doing so knowing that you started with a flawed base model, that you may not identify with. Adding these other presets would take almost no development effort at all, but would go a long way towards making us LGBTQ players feel more included and invested in our character!

Hope the devs at least find and read this suggestion. I, and many others, would definitely pick up this game if we knew we were seen and included!

P.S. Can we also get pride flag symbols to put in our characters' names, for other players to see? A little "pronoun tag" to put under the name tag would also be awesome! That way, other players wouldn't accidentally misgender us. :)

You're basically a clone of your mother with father DNA added to the mix.

Biological truth right here, all babys when first devoloping are indeed female, and its at a certain stage in devolopment of the fetus when the chromosome takes effect and changes the gender to male if its going to be a male. Its why mothers usually have to wait till a certain amount of time in the pregnancy before they can find out the gender, as it takes a bit before it gets locked in. Did a google search and it seems to be around by the 18th to 21st week of the pregnancy is when the gender is usually locked in, but can be as early as the 14th week.

I'd say that not everyone in here hates trans people, I'm sure some of us are simply annoyed by the fact that some members of the LGBTQ+ community seem to insist that there needs to be a rainbow flag on every pole and a proper representation in every game.

Well, firstly, this is a Japanese company, I'd assume that more progressive stances should be opted first by American companies, since that's your low hanging fruit. Japan however needs to cater to different audiences so its not so simple to do these types of things without America doing it first.

Secondly, are there any games that "actually" do this? You are asking for alot for a generally indie game developer, and there is a non-zero chance that the audience will go up in arms about the entire thing, like with actors playing Autistic characters. Literally bombing the entire thing.

Anyway considering you can change your body both ways, the whole thing is a little moot. And your personality, i.e. gender is from your social interactions anyway, so you play your character how you want. Your pals won't mind, and lovander might even like it lol.

Which means that your "assumption" of their gender is exclusively down to your perceptions.
Arguably one could say that you are incapable of defining the physique of the characters as trans/non-binary without visual labels because of an inability to discern physical characteristics.
