(used to hella grind runescape 06-2015) this my type of flow smooth slow sailing <3
I just hit level 30 and having fun playing and exploring. I am in no rush. I am taking my time and enjoying the game not trying to rush to the end.
Thats perfectly fine though. I got more than my moneys worth. Only real complaint is jesus the last tower boss is hard to kill solo within the time limit. Had to use the power statue to up everyones attack 30% and this is using legendaries with 3+ perfect traits.
Although realistically he doesn't have too much health if your pals functioned. My god has the last 10 or so hours of playtime made me despise jetragon. So many times he just flies into the enemies without reaching "action range" and it will shove the enemy and they'll just end up not attacking and flying off into the distance together. Sometimes he legit won't attack for 30+ seconds with all cooldowns available. Doesn't matter what moves he has either. All pals do this to some degree but he is by far the worst.
I do love building but there's too few pieces and too many restrictions. I can't have stairs extend 2 tiles downward (or even one upward without a wall) for instance, or a wall has a single pixel clip with an indestructible bush, Trying to lineup foundations perfectly at different elevations is a chore and a half and don't even get me started on trying to make a bridge that you can walk under.
Game would be alot more fun built for solo or small groups that would allow you to expand and grow rather than be trapped in the one(to three) tiny base area(s). Still gonna play the game on and off because the pals are cute and i got nothing else to do right now, but i'd genuinely lose weeks if the game were something more akin to satisfactory with pokemon pals.
Edit: to clarify, i knew that's how it was gonna be going into it, but for $30, i said "why not"
I've been enjoying it on normal nice and slow, playing a few hours here and then. Prolly the only stupid thing i've done was to capture a tower boss which im keeping for collection purpose and i do intend to capture them all after beating them once lol.

I've restarted the game 5 times now as I enjoy early game so much in these sorts of games.
it's sad that it could be either, huh.
I am not sure who he is but I know a lot of people does exactly the same thing as he does. BI also know it is a trend for "speed runners" aka "Call of duty - Get the loot fast fast fast!" who loves to beat everyone before hand and reach the end game asap as if it was a Olympic Gold Medal Race.
So they crank everything to super easy mode presuming it would bring them a sense of achievements and superior advantage to others.... but the catch is that they get bored faster as well since they acquired everything in less time.
Eventually, anyone is entitled to do so... but at a price. That's the part most "speed runner" don't get.. until they realise they simply destroyed their own game experience.
However, I understand their way of playing since I used to be like this in World of Warcraft. But sometimes, taking a step back to look at the horizon.. to take a screenshot of beautiful scenic view... to look at your Pals working together... to me it's more priceless then any Legendaries out there... ^^
