The game explicitly forbids placement of objects near where the player spawns when teleporting to a Palbox, so you're always going to be limited to carrying enough that you can still walk. It's not a difficult problem to solve, but it's still unnecessarily tedious.
There's a minimum distance, but it's not so far that you can't grapple-gun your way. If there's any limit at all as to how over-capacity you can be while grappling, it's at least 2000 pounds AFAICT.
Currently the easiest way that I've found is to have everything you need for mining, refining and item making at the mining base and everything else somewhere else for food production. I actually have it all in one place right now, but I'm seeing that food production is fairly limited since a lot of pals are either moving things or bashing them.
