As I said, I think its perfectly fine for everybody to have their own playstyle (I am not Vegan, but I think its great that we can now give them a guide, so they don´t attack the game)
The guide pretty much greenlist Palworld, just as they did with Animal Crossing (they have a guide for that as well)
This just screams clown farm bait.
You can play an entirely non violent just by using capture only as you still get dropped resources like meat and hides during captures.
keep in mind, it's PETA, they don't allow for any kind of domestication of animals.
and any domesticated animals needs to be, you guessed it, "put out of its misery"
I mean, you can cause some havoc on a vegan group with that, what makes something vegan? No animal cruelty? Then can we consider pure plant type pals to not be animals and therefore okay to beat, eat, kill, farm?
But if it is respect for life then aren't plants alive too?
If it is about pain can we consider the chemical signals that most plants have when they are being chopped, stepped, eaten being signs of capability of feeling pain too?
My personal opinion is that it does not matter, but out of respect for other people (we are all different) I rather find a solution and post actual facts on the forum.
A lot of people have made it sound like PETA wants this game ot not exist, but when they actually issue an official statement like this, they greenlight it and showcase how you can play it if you are concerned with ingame (videogame) animal cruelty.
Its better to make everybody happy and respect eachother, just as you would love all your Pal´s equally.
The entire thing is satire to make fun of all the people who think hurting a virtual animal/human is immoral. I dont think Peta actually gets the joke of the article or their own stance that hurting something in a video game is bad.
It doesnt matter what "guides" there are. The fact that animals are killed and enslaved will have people talking one way or another even if its a video game.
I don´t believe in eternal truths. I can´t say if this is amoral or immoral from their perspective or others. (I do wonder if Pals are amoral or immoral, I think the first) anyway..
The best thing we can do, is to be constructive and make a safe enviroment for all people that want to play the game.
after all the troll topics claiming to be aligned with PETA, the organization itself goes and endorses the game by treating its ethically questionable disposition as a challenge
Stop intentionally misrepresting things you idiot.
Oh hey, this topic again. Wonder how long it will be until we see it again with almost the exact same copy pasta.
