If you don´t bother with farms and breeding you can actually just have eggs for the rest of your life :-D --- very productive little fella.
Indeed. :')
Best mount would have to be the fastest one.
I forget it's name but it's that dragonite looking one from Mt. Obsidian with the rocket skill. I heard it's the fastest (I caught one but didn't use it yet, got a bad trait).
Edit: His super floaty glide jump is nice too.
I have a couple mining node bases exclusively manned by Anubis for AFK resources.
For combat/transportation, gotta go with Jet Dragon (even though he looks remarkably stupid).
Ah, a fellow Lunaris enjoyer! How did you go about breeding the passives for yours? I'm going for a combat/handicraft mix with Legend, Lucky, Ferocious, and Artisan.
I haven't gotten Legend yet, mine is lucky, ferocious, meathead, and bulky body because she's fully my combat pal. I believe I used a lucky grizzbolt I found on the first wildlife sanctuary randomly and a swee in order to get a tombat with lucky and ferocious. From there I bred a tombat with a mau that had meathead and bulky body to get two lunaris and from there i just spam bred them until I got one with all four passives. I had a good three boxes full of babies until I finally got the one I wanted though.
While it has slightly less shoot ATK at 140 compared to Necromus at 145, it has better HP and defense. It's also a flying mount.
While it has less mobility than Jetragon, it can actually be bred with other pals which Jetragon cannot. This allows you to give a Frostallion Noct the Swift or Runner traits easily by first getting the on a Helzephyr. It's also a Dark type which means it can be enhanced while Jetragon cannot be enhanced as nothing buffs Dragon types.
While it doesn't have the omega Dark skill Shadowbeak has, it has significantly higher shoot ATK which I feel makes up for the lack of a 160 skill. You can make due with Dark Laser which is a 150 skill. It also has more HP which offsets Shadowbeak's slightly higher defense and it is a Legendary Pal by default which saves you a lot of breeding time.
Pairing it with a team of maxed out Hoocrates will raise its ATK to over 2000. It will one shot nearly any boss, even the endgame ones, because the damage formula multiplies your ATK then divides the enemy's defense. Having more ATK significantly ramps up your damage scaling.
If that wasn't enough, it's also actually useful and has lvl 4 gathering, making it insanely good at harvesting, the best in the game in fact.
For base keeping a mix of anubis, some dark pals to keep things running at night and one fire variant of the big serpent thingy to smelt ore faster plus at least one planting, one watering, one freezing and one electric pal for other necessities.
For mobility Jetragon no doubt, isn't even a challenge.
For combat Jetragon has his merit but isn't a one beats all Pal too, mine soloed the last boss on the north snow biome even being hit by frost attacks (his weakness) with me using a lege dary shotgun to help DPS a bit and recalling him to avoid big hits. Anubis honestly I didn't found him to be a good fighting Pal, I needed to teach him some other moves to make him useful as his signature moves are way too slow and unreliable. Verdadh proved himself to be better than I expected and alongside the Kitsun they were the only midgame Pals I kept on my late game team. Helzephyr and then Beakon are good fliers while you don't have enough strength to take on Jetragon. Water and electric pals are a bit bad in general on my experience so I usually didn't kept they around for long.
for fighting anything that can fly. any epic/legendary Pal is enough to beat anything.
